Website Designer with SEO Experience – Remote (Part-Time or Full-Time)

We’re looking for a remote Website Designer with SEO experience (1099 contractor) who is tech-savvy, organized, and confident in managing website systems and SEO workflows.
This is a long-term opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of tasks across web development and SEO implementation — while working during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
Job Description
We are scaling quickly — bringing on new clients, managing SEO retainers, and juggling multiple website builds. We’re hiring a full-time team member to help us catch up, systemize, and scale with confidence.
As our Website Designer with SEO experience, you’ll be involved in:
- Supporting website updates and builds
- Managing SEO workflows and implementation
- Helping improve client delivery and internal efficiency
This role is ideal for someone who understands web design and SEO, loves to bring order to chaos, and has experience supporting small business owners or digital agencies. You must understand SEO, AIO (AI Overviews), AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), know how to conduct thorough keyword research, and be able to handle projects from start to finish in a timely manner.
CRITICAL: All new website builds will be created using DIVI. You MUST have extensive DIVI experience – this is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities
Website Design & Development Tasks
- Build new client websites using DIVI (PRIMARY REQUIREMENT)
- Update and maintain existing client websites on WordPress (Divi/Elementor), Wix, and Squarespace
- Create landing pages and optimize existing page layouts using DIVI
- Implement responsive design updates and mobile optimization
- Handle basic troubleshooting and website maintenance tasks
SEO Implementation & Support
- Implement on-page SEO strategies (metadata, alt text, internal links, header optimization)
- Format and optimize blog posts for search engines
- Support with Google platforms like Search Console, GA4, and Tag Manager
- Conduct keyword research and help with content optimization
- Monitor and track SEO performance metrics
Qualifications
Required:
- 1-2 years minimum experience as website designer, front-end developer, or similar role
- EXTENSIVE DIVI EXPERIENCE – MANDATORY FOR ALL NEW BUILDS (minimum 10 completed DIVI websites)
- Experience creating brand voice and tone guidelines for businesses
- Proficient with AI tools for content creation, design, and workflow optimization
- Confident using: – WordPress with DIVI (MUST HAVE), Elementor, Wix, and Squarespace – Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Tag Manager – SEO tools like Google Keyword Planner, All-in-One SEO, keyword trackers, BrightLocal, etc. – Canva, Google Drive
- Strong experience with website maintenance and SEO workflows
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Available to work during EST business hours
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-managed
Preferred:
- Experience with project management tools like Moxie, Dubsado, or HoneyBook
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for basic customizations
- Understanding of conversion optimization and user experience principles
