Paid ads, explained
What does a paid ads agency do?
A paid ads agency builds, runs and improves your advertising on platforms like Google and Meta, so your budget goes to clicks that turn into calls and customers. That means choosing the right campaign types, writing the ads, building audiences, setting up conversion tracking, matching each ad to a landing page and adjusting every week based on real results.
Ads and SEO work best together. Ads can bring in leads within days, while SEO builds the leads you don’t pay for per click. Many of our clients run both, then lean less on ads as organic traffic grows.
What should a paid ads report show?
Leads and costs, not just clicks.
Cost per lead and per customer
Calls and forms from each campaign
What we changed and why
What should you avoid when hiring an ads agency?
The reasons most ad budgets get wasted.
Charging a percentage of your ad spend
Spending before tracking works
Sending every ad to your homepage

Which platform?
Should a local business advertise on Google or Facebook?
It depends on how your customers buy. Google catches people already searching; Meta reaches people before they search. Most local businesses start with one, prove it works, then add the other.

Frequently asked questions about paid ads management
How much does Google Ads management cost?
Our ads management is $600 a month for Google or Meta, or $950 a month for both, plus a one-time $400 setup that’s waived on SEO Growth and Acceleration plans. Your ad spend is paid directly to Google or Meta.
Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
No. We charge a flat monthly fee, so our advice is never tied to getting you to spend more.
How much should a small business spend on Google Ads?
For local campaigns we usually recommend at least $1,500 a month in ad spend, so the campaigns get enough data to learn. Below that, the money often goes further on SEO and your Google Business Profile.
How fast will paid ads bring in leads?
Once tracking is verified, campaigns can bring in leads within days. Expect a few weeks of testing before cost per lead settles.
How much does Local Services Ads management cost?
Local Services Ads management is $350 a month plus a one-time $300 setup for verification and your profile. Google charges you per lead, paid directly to Google.
What are Google Local Services Ads?
Local Services Ads are the ads with the Google Guaranteed or Google Screened badge at the very top of many local searches. Businesses pass a Google verification, and they pay per lead rather than per click. They work especially well for home services. Google explains how they work in its Local Services Ads help center.
Is Google Ads or Facebook better for a local business?
Google is usually better when people search for what you sell when they need it, like plumbing or roofing. Facebook and Instagram are better for reaching people before they search, like salons, restaurants and events. Many businesses use both.
What is retargeting?
Retargeting, also called remarketing, shows ads to people who already visited your website or engaged with your business but didn’t call or buy yet. It’s often one of the lowest-cost ways to win back a lead.
What is conversion tracking, and why does it matter?
Conversion tracking records when an ad click turns into a call, form or booking. Without it, ad platforms optimize for clicks instead of customers, and you can’t tell which ads are paying off. We set it up before spend starts.
Do you build the landing pages for ads?
Yes. We review your landing pages during setup and can build dedicated ad landing pages for $1,500 each.
Can you fix my existing Google Ads campaigns?
Yes. We start by auditing your current account, tracking and landing pages, then fix what’s wasting money before adding anything new.
Should I run ads and SEO at the same time?
Often, yes. Ads bring in leads now while SEO builds over months. As your organic rankings grow, many businesses lower their ad budgets.
How long is the contract for ads management?
Plans start with a three-month term, then run month to month. You can cancel with 30 days’ notice after the first three months.
Who owns the ad accounts?
You do. We work inside your own Google and Meta accounts, so your data and history stay with you if you ever leave.
Can you dispute bad Local Services Ads leads?
Yes. We review your Local Services Ads leads every week and dispute spam, wrong-service and out-of-area leads with Google.
What is the Google verification badge?
It shows Google has checked your business, such as licenses, insurance or background checks depending on your category. It appears on Local Services Ads, and we walk you through the verification.
Do you manage ads for businesses near me in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky?
Yes. We’re based in Greater Cincinnati and manage ads for businesses across Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana, plus clients across the U.S.
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes. For Jeannie’s Cleaning we coordinated Google Local Services Ads with Google Maps work, and for Blueprint Companion Care we layered Meta retargeting onto organic research traffic. See every project on our projects page.
