Accessibility, explained
What is website accessibility?
Website accessibility means people can use your site no matter how they browse: with a screen reader, with only a keyboard, with low vision or color blindness, or on a slow phone. The common standard is WCAG, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
Most fixes are practical: readable color contrast, alt text on images, labeled form fields, headings in the right order and buttons that work with a keyboard. They also tend to make your site clearer for Google and AI assistants.
What do accessibility fixes usually cover?
The issues that block real visitors.
Color contrast and readable text
Alt text, headings and labeled forms
Keyboard navigation and focus
What won’t we promise?
Honest limits.
Certified ADA or WCAG compliance
Protection from lawsuits or demand letters
That an overlay widget alone makes a site compliant

What legal pages does a small business website need?

Frequently asked questions about website accessibility and compliance
How much does website accessibility work cost?
Accessibility fixes are quoted after a review, because they depend on the size and build of your site. Legal pages are a $100 setup plus $119 a year, and they’re included in every care plan.
Will this make my website ADA compliant?
We work to make your site as accessible and compliant as we can, following WCAG, but we don’t certify or guarantee legal or accessibility compliance. For legal advice, talk to an attorney.
What is WCAG?
WCAG, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, is the most widely used standard for website accessibility. It covers things like contrast, text alternatives, keyboard use and clear structure.
Do accessibility overlay widgets make a site compliant?
No tool fixes accessibility on its own. Tools like Ally help visitors adjust the page, but the underlying issues still need to be fixed in the site itself.
Are legal pages included with your websites?
Every site we build gets Termageddon legal pages and cookie consent. They’re included in every care plan; without one, they’re a $100 setup plus $119 a year.
Does accessibility help SEO?
Often, yes. Alt text, clear headings and labeled forms make your pages easier for search engines and AI assistants to understand, as well as people.
Can you fix a site you didn’t build?
Yes, for WordPress sites. We review it first and quote the fixes.
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes. Every project on our projects page is a real business with a live website, from house cleaning and painting to coffee, lending and home inspection.
