Social media, explained
What does a social media manager do for a small business?
A social media manager plans, creates and publishes your posts on a set schedule, replies to comments and messages, and reports on what the posts are doing for the business. Done well, it gives buyers who check you out before they call a page that looks active, trustworthy and recent.
The two ways social media fails are silence and busy work. Posting for two weeks and stopping looks worse than never starting, and posting with no goal produces likes but no leads. Our plans run on a calendar you approve and a monthly report on reach, traffic and leads.
What should a social media plan include?
The basics every managed plan needs.
A monthly calendar you approve
Graphics, captions and short video
A report tied to traffic and leads
Which social media habits hurt a business?
The ones that make a brand look abandoned.
Posting in bursts, then going silent
Being on every platform poorly
Buying followers or engagement

Pick the right platforms
Which social media platforms should a local business use?
The ones your customers actually use. A great Instagram beats five mediocre channels, so we pick 2 to 4 based on your audience.
See Reputation Management
Facebook for local community
Reviews, local visibility, events and a working customer service channel for most local businesses.
Instagram for visual proof
Photos, reels and stories that show your work. Many service buyers check Instagram before they call.
Google Business Profile posts
Posts on your Google profile support local visibility and show searchers you’re active right where they find you.
LinkedIn and TikTok when they fit
LinkedIn for B2B credibility and recruiting; TikTok for short-form reach when your audience and brand fit.

Frequently asked questions about social media management
How much does social media management cost for a small business?
Our plans are $750 a month (2 platforms, 8 posts), $1,250 a month (3 platforms, 12 posts with 2 short videos and replies) and $1,950 a month (4 platforms, 16 posts with 4 short videos). Each starts with a three-month term.
How often should a small business post on social media?
Consistency matters more than volume. Two to four posts a week on the right platforms is a solid pace for most local businesses, which is what our plans deliver.
Do you create the graphics and videos?
Yes. We create the graphics and captions, and the Growth and Plus plans include 2 and 4 short videos a month.
Which platforms do you manage?
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile and TikTok. We recommend 2 to 4 based on where your customers are.
Do I approve posts before they go out?
Yes. You approve the monthly calendar before anything posts, so you can check every post against your brand and any industry rules.
Do you reply to comments and messages?
On the Growth and Plus plans we reply on business days and pass along conversations that need your team.
Do you run paid social ads too?
Social plans cover organic posts. Paid social runs through our ads management, priced separately, with ad spend paid directly to the platform.
Do I own my social media accounts?
Yes. The accounts stay in your name and we work through the access you give us.
Can you guarantee viral growth or a follower count?
No, and no one honestly can. We post consistently, report what happens and adjust based on the results. We never buy followers or engagement.
Can you manage social media for several locations?
Yes. Tell us how many locations and pages you have on the strategy call and we’ll recommend the plan and scope that fits.
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes. For Jeannie’s Cleaning we paired social media with review systems during an ownership change, and for Blueprint Companion Care we carried the brand voice into social and trust-building content. See every project on our projects page.
